Nike Golf

Nike Golf is a relative newcomer to the golf equipment business. However, in the short time it has been around, Nike Golf has come a long way, creating technical innovations that can enhance your golf game. Here is an overview of the latest equipment by Nike Golf, from clubs and balls to shoes and apparel. This gear will have you playing better and feeling more comfortable out on the course.

Nike Golf Clubs:

Two of the hottest clubs in Nike's Golf bag are the Nike SasQuatch 460cc driver and the Slingshot OSS irons. Both were recipients of Golf Digest's Editors Choice Awards for 2006. The SasQuatch received the award for the Drivers category and the Slingshot OSS Irons for the Super Game-Improvement Irons category.
The SasQuatch 460 provides extra power and distance with enhanced spin control and forgiveness. It achieves more distance and a better launch angle by positioning the center of gravity even farther down and back in the club head. The control and forgiveness are due to its expanded sweet spot, which will allow shots from the toe and heel to go straight. As one Golf Digest panelist commented during testing of the club, "The toe and heel are still alive so miss-hits are dead straight. Anyone can play this" (Golf Digest).
The Slingshot OSS Irons have a deep center of gravity position, wide sole and large sweet spot that result in maximum forgiveness. Their Slingback design and good-sized offset make it easy to square the clubface and reduces the ill effects of off-center contact. As a Golf Digest panelist comment, "I hit shots with this club that didn't deserve to go anywhere, but they still did. The impact was unlike anything I've tried" (Golf Digest).

Nike Golf Balls:

Not only has Nike Golf proved that their clubs can compete, but also that their golf balls are just as good, if not better, than the competition's. Leading the way are Nike Golf's One Black and Power Distance Super Soft, ranked numbers one and two, respectively, in overall performance by consumerreports.org for 2006 (Consumer Reports).
The Nike One Black's three-core design provides expert and good amateur players with longer distance, lower flight path and greater control. Its ionomer inner core efficiently transfers energy from your club to the ball and helps reduce excess spin, which result in straighter and longer shots. If you have a fast, aggressive swing, Nike One Black will help you hit more fairways and get to the green in fewer strokes.
The Nike Power Distance Super Soft offers recreational golfers excellent distance, precise short game control and superior feel. Its two-piece design reduces sidespin and gives you improved distance control. The result: accurate, long drives and easy to control iron shots with a soft feel. For a weekend golfers, Nike Golf's Super Soft has what you've been looking for.

Nike Golf Bags:

If you are looking for a stylish way to carry around your clubs, Nike Golf has a bag for you. If you enjoy carrying your bag on the course, then check out the Nike Xtreme Lite Carry Bag. Weighing only 4.2 pounds, you'll hardly notice you're carrying it. It has eight pockets, including two water bottle holders, a four-way club divider, extra cushioning and great stability. If prefer taking it easy with your bag on the back of a cart, look into Nike Golf's Slingshot Tour Cart Bag. It features a 14-way club divider, insulated cooler pouch for food and cooled beverages, rain hood and new 360-degree body design, allowing you easy access to all your gear. It will enable you to take the comforts of the clubhouse with you out onto the course.

Nike Golf Shoes:

Nike has always been known for its innovation in sports shoes. Nike Golf shoes are no exception. There are two golf shoe lines to choose from: Sport Performance, also known as SP, or Sport. Sport Performance shoes are more traditional looking golf shoes with a few untraditional twists, such as the Air-Sole heel insert that provides optimum comfort and stability while making the shoes feel light on your feet. Also, most of the SP Nike Golf shoes are 100 percent waterproof and have easy-to-change spikes. They will provide the traction, stability and comfort necessary to play your best.
Nike Golf's Sport shoes are sneaker-inspired. On first look they look like an ordinary sneaker, but with 100 percent waterproof membranes and interchangeable Traction at Contact spikes, they are anything but ordinary. The high level of comfort will enable you to stay focused on your game no matter how many holes you play in a day.

Nike Golf Apparel:

To add some style and extra comfort to your golf outings, check out the wide range of apparel by Nike Golf. You can get the same style as Tiger Woods even if your swing won't ever resemble his. To keep you feeling good on the green, Nike Golf apparel has Dri-FIT and Body Mapping technology. Dri-Fit fabric wicks away sweat for enhanced comfort and Body Mapping technology increases breathability and airflow with strategically placed ventilation zones. Also, many of Nike Golf's shirts and pants offer extra UV protection while out in the sun.

If you are searching for new golf gear, Nike Golf may have what you've been looking for. From their highly acclaimed clubs and balls to their high-tech apparel and shoes, Nike Golf can help improve your game and make your time golfing more enjoyable.
